Katrina Dedman is both academic and NHS secretary to Professor Patrick Chinnery. She has been in the department for over 30 years and is key to its operation!
Katrina has many years of experience in neurosciences, having started work at Addenbrooke’s Hospital as Head Injury Secretary and then Secretary to the Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon in 1984, before joining the Cambridge University Neurology Unit at its inception in 1989.
The Department of Clinical Neurosciences was established formally in 2004 and has continued to develop and grow year on year. Katrina is not only central to the department and the research team, but she is also the main point of contact for all clinical enquiries including clinic appointments.
